Green Bay - - The Packers have signed two of their restricted free agents, back-up fullback John Kuhn (pronounced KOON) and tight end Tory Humphrey. Humphrey is expected to compete for the back-up position at tight end behind Donald Lee, despite suffering a broken left fibula on the first day of training camp last year. The Packers reported this week to Green Bay for the team’s offseason weight lifting program run by team strength & condition coach Rock Gullickson. I almost didn’t recognize Gullickson at the Packers Fan Fest earlier this month, sporting a new, longer hair cut than the traditional flat top crew cut he has sported in the past. He told me about his new assistant, Mondray Gee ( pronounced as the letter “G”) brought in after seven years with the Detroit Lions. Gullickson said the team interviewed Gee at the NFL Scouting Combine and were “blown away” by his knowledge on the latest techniques and advancements in training, equipment, and tracking a player’s progress. Gee also served as a graduate assistant on the strength and conditions staff at his alma mater, Michigan State, before entering the NFL with the Lions. NOTE: I'm taking some time off to re-introduce myself to my wife and children, and will return next week to begin tracking the Packers as they approach the NFL Draft April 26th. - Mike Clemens
